Kate Fontana serves as the Operations Director for Friends Forever, where she leads the development of the operational systems and infrastructure that support high-quality services for adult participants. In this role, she works closely with program leadership to strengthen quality assurance and compliance, transportation operations, policy development, staff training systems, and other key operational functions as Friends Forever continues to grow.
Kate brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in human services, with extensive expertise in adult services, quality management, regulatory compliance, and organizational operations. Prior to joining Riverview, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Kennedy-Donovan Center, where she oversaw agency-wide operations supporting adults and families through state- and Medicaid-funded programs. She also held senior leadership roles at May Institute, helping to develop and oversee operational and quality systems for adult residential and day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Throughout her career, Kate has been committed to building strong systems that support exceptional services, staff success, and positive outcomes for the individuals and families served. She is passionate about creating sustainable, mission-driven organizations that empower people to live meaningful and self-directed lives.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with her dogs.
