Riverview School:

Riverview was established on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts in 1957. The scenic 16-acre campus features outstanding classroom facilities and dormitories.  It is an easy walk to Sandy Neck Beach and is located on historic Route 6A, just one hour from Boston, MA or Providence, RI.  Beaches, lighthouses and quaint villages are among the many treasures found on Cape Cod.

Riverview Students:

• IQ within 65-90 range
• No significant behavioral or emotional problems, gentle, friendly, naïve
• Have mastered basic daily living skills and personal hygiene
• Have not previously experienced success in academic or social environments
• Mild medical issues that complicate – but not compromise – daily activities
• Diagnosed language, learning and cognitive disabilities
• Seek typical teenage opportunities; such as playing on sports teams, participating in drama, music, art and student government, and attending dances
Riverview is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) and approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).  Riverview also is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and adheres to its Principles of Good Practice.
