Strategic Plan 2014-2019
1. Optimizing Admissions

Riverview seeks to enroll the optimal mix of students into the Middle School, High School and GROW. To achieve this, the School will:
  • increase the applicant pool by 50% in 3 years
  • increase diversity in the student body
Marketing/Recruitment strategies will include:
  • Reorganization of the Advancement Office to facilitate the hiring of a Strategic Marketing Manager
  • Clarification of the School’s “message” and consistency in delivery of this “message”
  • Enhanced website and social media presence
  • Expanded outreach to feeder schools, professional groups and parents in communities across the country

2. 
Faculty Recruitment, Development and Retention

Riverview seeks to employ faculty of the highest caliber and to provide the professional development, quality of life and total compensation that will foster job satisfaction and the leaders of tomorrow.  To accomplish this, the School will:
  • Elicit staff input regarding non-monetary interests related to job satisfaction and professional development
  • Enhance compensation and benefits to the maximum extent possible
  • Develop summer training programs
  • Create a Program Assistant internship program
  • Employ a Human Resources professional

3.  Job Training

Riverview seeks to provide students with the highest level training and experience to enable them to achieve paid employment in various fields.  To accomplish this, the School will:
  • Infuse career readiness skills into the core curriculum in the high school and expand career development initiatives at GROW
  • Continue to place strong emphasis on self-regulation, grit, and work ethic in all aspects of the School’s program
  • Expand the position of Vocational Specialist
  • Increase the length of internships, whenever possible
  • Seek assistance from parents and others in developing partnerships with local and national companies

Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, located on a scenic 16-acre campus on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We provide a caring community for students ages 11-22 with complex language, learning and cognitive challenges, including Autism, Down Syndrome and intellectual disabilities. We're committed to developing student competence in academic, social and independent living skills.
