GROW Transition Program

Vocational Training

Students experience ample vocational opportunities and thereby identify appropriate career goals through GROW. They participate in internships and gain firsthand experience in several work settings, helping them to develop strong work habits and increase awareness of their personal strengths, aptitudes and interests.

Students may explore other career interests with local job training opportunities, such as healthcare, animal care, child care, landscaping and tourism. GROW students have internships with over 25 employers on Cape Cod, including Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Cape Cod Healthcare, Heritage Museums and Gardens and The Daniel Webster Inn. Opening the doors to a wider and exciting new world paves the way for successful future employment.
“The thing I like most about Riverview is that they way open doors for kids with learning challenges. I never thought I would be able to go to college in my life and now I’m in GROW. The School has helped guide me on my career path and is helping to make my dream of becoming a chef come true.” -- Student
