Students who participate in the School’s dramatic productions devote many hours to rehearsal on stage and in the classroom.   Recent productions include: Riverview’s Journey Through Broadway, Fairy Tale Courtroom, and Tibet Through the Red Box.
Riverview students find new ways to express themselves, develop their imaginations, think, act, and gain confidence and poise through participation in the school’s robust visual art, drama and music programs.
All students may join the chorus and participate in drama productions, which reflect the collaboration between Riverview’s visual and performing arts programs.


Music is part of the everyday curriculum at Riverview. Students are given the opportunity to study music history, theory, sing songs, and participate in hands on learning, in addition to being taught how to play a variety of musical instruments.  Other music based activities offered as an afterschool activity throughout the year are: DJ (Audio/Visual) Tech Training; Riverview Concert Band; Rock Band 101; M.A.D (Music, Acting, Dance); Broadway Beats; Music History Sing A-longs; Creative Song Writing; Riverview Drum Line; Riverview Acapella; and the Déjà View Chorus, which boosts more than 90 members!

Visual Arts

Riverview students begin with the fundamentals of art, where they learn about proportion, perspective and color.  They work with the face, figure and geometric forms to create self-portraits. This exercise helps them to focus on who they are to themselves, and to the world around them.  Many students also enjoy learning about and incorporating the latest technologies into their artwork.  Digitally-inspired programs like Photoshop help to broaden creative options.
Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, located on a scenic 16-acre campus on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
