2023 Dream Maker Honoree

Rebecca & Marty Eisenberg

Riverview School is proud to be honoring Rebecca and Marty Eisenberg as this year’s Dream Makers

Marty and Rebecca Eisenberg are alumni parents and long time supporters of Riverview School. Their Daughter Jessie graduated from our GROW program in 2010. For more than a decade, Riverview School has been the grateful recipients of a specially curated rotating art gallery inside our James Center building. This specially selected gallery comes from the private collection of Marty and Rebecca, and infuses culture, dialogue and distinction to our campus. We are grateful for their support and personal commitment to the Arts here at Riverview.

Rebecca and Martin Eisenberg have been collecting contemporary art for over 30 years. Their collection features major works by artists including Peter Doig, Marlene Dumas, David Hammons, Rachel Harrison, Mary Heilman, Rashid Johnson, Chris Ofili, Manfred Pernice, Cindy Sherman, and Henry Taylor.

The Eisenberg’s are avid supporters of public art institutions and non-profit organizations in and around New York City. Marty is a member of the Acquisition Committee at the Studio Museum in Harlem, the Committee for Drawings and Prints and the Committee for Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, chairs the board of the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College and serves on the board of White Columns. Rebecca serves on the Board of Directors of My Sisters’ Place in Westchester County, and together they are actively involved with the I Have a Dream Foundation. A museum show of the Eisenberg’s collection, “At Home, Not at Home,” curated by Matthew Higgs, was shown at the Hessel Museum at Bard College in 2010.
