2025 Village of Dreams gala
Record Number of Attendees at Riverview’s Gala; Fund-A-Dream This Year Will Support Wellness Programming
On Friday, June 13th, Riverview School welcomed a record-breaking 450 guests to campus to celebrate their annual Village of Dreams Gala. For the first time, the Gala was sold out weeks prior to the event, which takes place under an open-air tent in the center of the beautiful Riverview Campus. In total, the Gala was an incredible success, as we came together in community to celebrate and raise over 1.3 million dollars to support Riverview School.
Before the evening’s main events began, guests enjoyed a vibrant cocktail hour where they mingled with family, friends, and Riverview staff. Bartenders walked around with aptly-named “Pa-Linda” cocktails; an homage to Linda Ledoux P’25, as 2024-2025 was her last school year as Chair of the Family Association. Gala attendees had the chance to try their luck at the always-popular Wine Ring Toss, snap photos at the photo booth, and enter the “Key to a Cause” raffle for a chance to win a stunning diamond necklace. Throughout the evening, supporters enthusiastically bid on an array of silent auction items, including fine art, dining experiences, entertainment packages, exclusive Riverview-themed offerings, and luxurious getaways.
As the evening’s program began, the student band took the stage, setting the tone with lively music as guests made their way to their designated dinner tables. Once seated, attendees were warmly welcomed by Executive Director Stewart Miller, who spoke about the importance of the gala and celebrated the unwavering strength and dedication of Riverview’s staff.
Each year, the Gala honors an individual who embodies Riverview’s mission and makes a profound impact on the community, known as the “Dream Maker”. This year’s honoree was Riverview Trustee and sibling of a Riverview alum, Justin Gray. In a touching turn of events, Justin was surprised by his mother, Andrea, and brother Andrew ‘93, who gave a heartfelt speech and presented Justin with his award on stage. Justin and the Gray family have been part of the Riverview community since 1993, with Andrea serving on the Board of Trustees before Justin continued that legacy. Over his 16 years on the board, including time as Chair, Justin has provided steady and focused leadership. He has supported Riverview through major transformations, helped lead impactful Capital Campaigns, and guided the School through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Riverview, we believe in the value of a well-rounded education and provide our students with the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of their own capabilities and autonomous skills. One of our core competencies that we focus on is our ground-breaking Wellness curriculum. To continue the advanced support we provide for our students in wellness education, this year’s Fund-A-Dream focused on raising funds for supporting our ongoing efforts to incorporate wellness into our students’ everyday lives.
A highlight of the evening was the Fund-A-Dream paddle raise, which began with a moving video that spotlighted the significant growth and transformation of the Wellness Program at Riverview, featuring reflections and testimonials from staff and students. By the end of the night, the event had raised over $450,000 to support our growing wellness efforts.
It truly takes a village to bring an event like this to life. The Gala’s success was made possible by the tireless efforts of our planning committee, led by Gala Chair Linda Ledoux and Co-Chair Barb Noble, along with dedicated volunteers (including staff, as well as talented vendors and partners), and the overwhelming generosity of our sponsors and donors. Whether you joined us under the tent or supported from afar, we are deeply grateful for your role in making this night unforgettable.

Fund-a-dream
Every year, we focus a portion of our fundraising efforts on one primary goal, aptly called our “Fund-A-Dream.” This year, our Fund-A-Dream is aimed at strengthening and further enhancing our Wellness Programming.
Riverview proudly incorporates wellness programming within our individualized school curriculum. We believe in the importance of educating the Whole Child to instill lifelong independence, connection, happiness, and fulfillment. “Wellness” means many things, including physical fitness, mindfulness, and nutrition programming. Research shows that our population is at a higher risk for preventable health issues, so we remain dedicated to ensuring a happy and healthy life by encouraging our students to internalize healthy decisions that will continue long after their time at Riverview. Our world-class facilities include our recently built Cohen Center for Fitness and Recreation, MC Greene Field, and our state-of-the-art Nutritional Learning Center. We recognize that there is always room for growth, requiring dedicated staff to run new programming and additional innovative support for our students. Funds raised at the gala will ensure that we have the expertise and resources to deliver on excellent wellness programming far into the future.

2025
dream-maker:
Justin Gray
Justin first joined our Riverview community in 1993 when his brother Andrew enrolled as a ninth-grade student. Justin, alongside his brother and parents, Andrea and William, quickly found connection and kinship among families and staff at Riverview School.
From the very beginning, the Gray family was committed to helping Riverview School continue to grow and thrive. Justin’s mother, Andrea, joined Riverview’s Board of Trustees in 1994 and served for 16 remarkable years. When Andrea stepped down from the board, Justin followed in her footsteps and joined, currently finishing his own 16 years on Riverview’s Board of Trustees.
As the CEO of a global business advisory firm, he never let his professional obligations stop him from providing thoughtful and solution-based leadership for the Riverview community. It is because of his heartfelt work that Riverview School has managed to become all it is today. He has helped lead our school through major transformations in areas of financial stability, inclusion, and service delivery. He has led impactful Capital Campaigns that provided strategic growth and served as Board Chair and even extended his term while the world weathered the COVID-19 pandemic.
Justin and the Gray family have been invaluable to the Riverview community for over 30 years, and it is with great pride that we honor Justin as Riverview’s 2025 “Dream Maker.”
