James F. Benenati M.D. was a practicing interventional radiologist at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute (Miami, Florida) from 1990 through 2020. He now works full time as the Chief Medical Officer for Penumbra Inc, (Alameda, Ca.)

He is the former fellowship/residency program director and was the Medical Director of the Non Invasive Vascular Laboratory at MCVI. He received the Society of Interventional Radiology’s (SIR) Gold Medal, the highest honor that can be achieved for lifetime achievement and exceptional service in 2020. He gave the Charles T. Dotter Lecture for extraordinary contributions to the field on Interventional Radiology 2014. He served as SIR President in 2010 and served as the Annual Meeting Chairman for the SIR in 2005 as well has having served on the Executive Committee for the Society in several capacities. He serves as the SIR representative to the IAC and has served as the President of the IAC Vascular Testing Division. He received The VIVA LIVE Award (A Leader in Endovascular Education Award in 2021.
He received the “James F. Benenati Award for Excellence in Education” in 2020 by the fellows and staff at MCVI. Most recently he was chosen to give the Charles Tegtmeyer Award at the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy in January 2024.

He was a Clinical Professor of Radiology at the Florida International University Herbert Werthheim College of Medicine, and Collaborative Professor of Radiology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Benenati was the founding Medical Director of the Nova Southeastern University Health Sciences BS/ RVT program.

A participant in numerous clinical research projects and national trials, his interests include peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm therapy, management of pulmonary embolism, management of acute clot, and uterine fibroid embolization. With over 100 publications he has lectured internationally on a variety of endovascular topics.

Dr. Benenati completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and attended medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Ted leads the Davis Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. Ted has a long and accomplished history in the financial services industry that extends more than 30 years. With a primary focus on retirement planning and asset management, Ted regularly speaks in the community about retirement planning, social security, estate planning, and other important financial planning topics. Ted has a particular passion for educating investors on the importance of creating a financial plan. He believes in regularly monitoring his clients’ financial situations throughout their retirement and making the necessary changes to their plans. Ted strives to help his clients meet their financial goals and never forgets how hard his clients have worked to accumulate their wealth. Ted earned his Certified Financial Planner™ designation from the College for Financial Planning in 1997. Ted is currently a member of Morgan Stanley’s Chairman Council and also has been recognized as one of America’s top Financial Advisors by publications such as Barron’s (2010-2016), Financial Times (2014), and Forbes (2017-2018). In his spare time, he enjoys reading, skiing, exercising, and spending time with his wife, Wendy, and their three daughters, Stephanie, Andie, and Kelsey.

Sarah is originally from Chicago but lived in the western U.S. for several years for university and early career in journalism. In her late 20s, she headed to Rome for a brief stay but remained for more than 30 years, continuing to report on life and events in Italy. Sarah and her Italian husband raised their three children in a bilingual home where there was a robust mingling of Italian and American cultures. All three children now live in the U.S. Middle child Charlie attended Riverview high school for two years and graduated in 2008. Sarah has kept in close contact with the school and its unique mission ever since.

Ralph James retired from Harvard Business School in 2018. From 2010-2018 he served as Executive Director, University Relations, Executive Director of External Relations and Executive Director of Executive Education. Ralph received his BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1977, and his MBA from Harvard in 1982. Over the next 15 years, he held several different positions at HBS in the areas of Executive Education, MBA admissions, major gift fundraising, finally serving as Associate Dean and Senior Executive Officer under Deans McArthur and Clark. In 1996, Ralph left HBS to join the First Marblehead Corporation, as Chief Marketing Officer, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 1998 and President in 2000 prior to the company going public in 2003 (NYSE:FMD). In 2005, Ralph stepped down from his role as Vice Chairman to return to HBS.

Franklin H. Kettle, Managing Director of Colchester Partners LLC, has over 30 years of experience in transactions in the investment management industry. At Colchester, Frank is responsible for executing all aspects of client engagements, including buy/sell assignments, assisting clients in the development and execution of ownership restructurings and management succession plans, and providing other types of strategic advice. Frank received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, cum laude with honors, from Middlebury College in 1979, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting), with honors, from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1981. Frank and his wife Colleen, have four children. Their son Jeffrey is an alumnus of Riverview.

Emily Kunze is a globally minded leader whose work bridges business, education, and social impact. Having lived and worked abroad for much of her life, she brings deep cultural awareness and a commitment to expanding opportunity for underserved communities. After early roles in banking in New York and London, Emily spent nearly ten years guiding early-stage ventures as manager of Barcelona’s Finaves fund. Inspired by her own parenting journey, she founded Fundación Diverse to deliver early-intervention reading programs to children and families experiencing poverty, including the development of Catalonia’s first phonetic-based reading program.

Emily’s dedication to community is reflected in her extensive advisory service, ranging from seven years on the Board of Trustees at the Benjamin Franklin International School—four as Chair—to her ongoing role with Oxfam’s Enterprise Investment Committee, supporting start-ups in emerging markets. She continues to serve on the Board of Fundación Diverse in Barcelona and is a partner at the Via Art Foundation, a non-profit supporting public art projects. A champion of education, equity, and the arts, Emily brings creativity, empathy, and strategic insight to every endeavor.

Linda and her husband Bruce, live in Southborough, Massachusetts and have three children. Current Riverview GROW II student Colin, their older daughter Emily, youngest son Ryan and Gizmo, their french bulldog.

Linda and her family are committed to philanthropic giving in a variety of ways. She Co-Founded Guardian Angel Motorsports, a charitable organization, where she and her family race cars, to raise money and awareness for several children’s charities and help individual children in need. The sole mission is centered on helping one child at a time.

Linda studied Criminal Justice at Northeastern University and worked for CareMatrix Corporation, a company based in Massachusetts that developed, managed, and operated supportive independent living, assisted living, and Alzheimer’s care senior housing. Currently Linda is a self employed real estate professional with a focus on development, construction, acquisitions and rental management.

Linda has taken on many roles in her time at Riverview, including, Family Association Chair, Annual Fund Class Agent, Mentor for new families and Chair Riverview’s parent-run Gala Committee. Linda has prioritized building an uplifting and supportive family community by forming strong relationships through consistent, informative, and genuine communication.

Fred Poses is the CEO and President of Understood for All. He is the past Chief Executive Officer and Partner of Ascend Performance Materials, a private manufacturer of nylon related chemicals, resins and fibers for commercial and industrial products. He is also managing partner of 32 Laight Street Partners, a private equity company. Prior to Ascend Performance Materials, he was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trane Inc. (previously American Standard Companies) where he served from 1999 until June 2008.

From 1998 to 1999, he was President and Chief Operating Officer at Allied Signal where he served in various capacities over his career, beginning in 1969. Fred also spent two years in Peru with the Peace Corps. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from New York University. Fred served as lead director of TE Connectivity Board of Directors and Directors of Raytheon Company and Chesapeake Energy. It’s hard to find Fred wearing shoes other than AllBirds, which his two sons introduced him to when he got his first pair as a birthday present.

Dr. William (Billy) Roberts is a Consulting Psychologist whose active career includes a private clinical practice as well as an organizational consulting practice.

Billy holds a master’s degree in Administration/ Organizational Development and a Doctoral Degree in Counseling/ Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst. His clinical and consulting practice served peoples of diverse backgrounds and his organizational consulting work focused on human resource development and change management. As of July 1, 2021, Billy was elected as the first African American District Governor of Rotary District 7950, which covers 60+ clubs in Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands.

Elected as a member of the United States National Governing Body of the Baha’i Faith in 1998, he served as its Treasurer for some thirteen years, leading several successful multi-million-dollar capital campaigns prior to moving to Cape Cod. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the Cape Organization for the Rights of the Disabled and the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation.

Billy and his wife Bette have been married for 50 years and live in Osterville, MA on Cape Cod. They have two children who are both married – Janra Roberts and wife Stacey; Kia Roberts Wheeler and husband Jamar who have their first grandchild. Both Bette and Billy are active leaders in their faith community and are enthusiastic supporters providing service to non-profit organizations. A veteran traveler, Billy has visited and provided firsthand as well as consulting services to social and economic development initiatives in more than seventy-five countries. Now semi-retired, Dr. Roberts devotes much of his time to organizations and projects that empower under-served populations.

Emily Schorer is the senior vice president, chief of staff & chief people officer at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX), a global independent non-profit biomedical research institution. In this role, she is a member of the executive team and serves as a strategic partner to the president and CEO, providing leadership support on key initiatives, policy development, strategic planning, and operations while overseeing communications and marketing, human resources, environmental health services, inclusion and belonging, and the ombuds office.

Prior to joining JAX, she held roles as senior vice president of human resources for Cape Cod Healthcare and chief administrative officer for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, both in Massachusetts. She is a member of the corporation at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

Emily and her husband, Tim, live on Mount Desert Island in Maine.

Diane and her husband, Anish, live in Florida and Connecticut, and have two daughters. Emalea “Emy” is building an independent life at Chapel Haven Schleifer Center after graduating from Riverview School in 2020, while Kayla lives in New York City and works at Deloitte. 

Diane worked in the financial services sector for Price Waterhouse and then in emerging markets trading for JPMorgan Chase. When she left the world of banking to focus on raising a family, she actively pursued opportunities to advocate for and support families of individuals with disabilities. She served as a member of a Birth to Three Mentors Program Steering Committee, a co-leader of a special needs moms support group, and a member and co-chair of the town wide PTA Council Special Education Parent Representatives Committee for over 8 years. Diane has also served on the board of a grassroots non-profit and worked as a development consultant to support missions providing meaningful opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

Diane is a native New Yorker and graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting and a concentration in International Business. 

Martha Siegel has a range of experience in the arts, education and legal professions. She began her career as a public-school art teacher in the Boston area, but transitioned from classroom teaching to museum education at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she worked on both school and community programs, including art classes and gallery-based family programs. Later, as a freelance writer and acquisitions editor at a publishing house, Martha worked with authors and book designers to develop, edit and design educational resources for art teachers. Martha returned to school after 10 years to study law and subsequently joined Morrison and Foerster, a San Francisco law firm, where she worked on intellectual property issues in both the litigation and licensing contexts. In addition to pursuing her own artwork, for the past 20 years, Martha has played the role of parent, advocate, teacher and champion to her daughter, Juliet, who is a student at Riverview. Martha lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, Adam Elsesser. In addition to Juliet, Martha and Adam are the proud parents of Lili, Aidan and Claudia.

Kathi Snook is an independent education consultant from Concord, MA. Kathi graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Engineering. She holds a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics and a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum & Teaching, both from Boston University. Kathi’s personal and professional passions are focused on education and service.

Colonel Snook taught Mathematics at West Point for over ten years where she directed the Freshman Math Program, served as the Core Curriculum Coordinator, and chaired the Faculty Development Program for the 65-member Mathematical Sciences Department. Dr. Snook served on several Mathematical Association of America (MAA) national committees, and was the mathematics editor for Kendal Hunt’s Math Innovations middle school curriculum and for the COMAP BioMath curriculum project funded by the National Science Foundation. Mrs. Snook actively supported her five children’s school and extracurricular activities for three decades as head cheerleader, taxi driver, lunch packer, parent coordinator/rep/fundraiser, and tutor, and served on the Concord Public School and Concord Carlisle Regional School Committees in Concord, MA.

Currently, Kathi is the director of COMAP’s International High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling and the U.S. senior judge for the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge. Kathi’s husband Scott, a former classmate from West Point and retired Army Colonel, is a Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Business School. Kathi and Scott have five children. Their daughter Jessica attended Riverview School from 2014 through 2015.

Erik Trojian retired several years ago to become a stay-at-home dad of three children Miles, Maya and Sam. Retirement allowed Erik to focus on Sam, who attends Riverview, to better understand his needs and focus on his development. He and his wife Geline currently live in New Jersey. The two focus their recent empty nest time volunteering and coordinating their philanthropic work. He also enjoys playing tennis, home design and now just watching, not playing, rugby.

Prior to retirement, Erik was a lobbyist and government policy professional. His latest accomplishment was to create a new corporate form, called a benefit corporation, in 31 states that allows companies to consider society and the environment in addition to profit. This new law changed 100 years of corporate law and was cited by the U.S. Supreme Court shortly after enactment.

Erik began his interest in public policy interning for Rev. Jesse Jackson at the National Rainbow Coalition while attending the University of California at Berkeley where he studied the history of the civil rights movement and minored in African-American studies. He spent eleven years in the New York State Legislature, working for the Speaker of the Assembly and the Majority Leader of the Senate, where Erik governed economic development, business, alcohol and various other laws.

Erik received his BA in History, from the University of California at Berkeley and his MA in Political Science from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY Albany.

Christian De Vos joined the Riverview Board in 2012 after providing invaluable assistance to the School during the planning and development stage of Café Riverview assisting with design, layout, marketing, menus and staffing. He is a recently retired Food and Beverage executive who divided his career between private and publicly traded companies, higher education and not-for-profit organization management. He titles himself as a Chef, Educator and Restaurateur. A Belgian citizen, he has been in the USA for 45 years with his wife Marnie. They make their home on Cape Cod where Christian serves as a Deacon at Holy Trinity Church in Harwich. They commute often to New York City to spend time with their two grandchildren.

Amy Weinstock is the Director of the Autism Insurance Resource Center at UMass Medical School’s EK Shriver Center, and an instructor in the Medical School’s Department of Psychiatry. She has an extensive background on insurance issues related to autism, having played a key role in the passage of several laws in Massachusetts requiring public and private insurance to cover autism treatments. Amy chairs the Insurance Committee of Advocates for Autism of Massachusetts (AFAM), and is a Governor’s appointee to the Massachusetts Autism Commission. Following a successful career in real estate and banking, Amy decided to merge her personal passions and professional experience. She completed a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) fellowship at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center in 2005. Following this, she served as President of the outreach organization of the Lurie Center for Autism at Massachusetts General Hospital for two years prior to her appointment as Chair of the Insurance Committee for AFAM.

Amy’s work has been recognized through numerous local and national awards. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and received a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University. Amy and her husband, Michael Coln, are the proud parents of Elena, a 2019 Riverview Graduate.
