SUMMER PROGRAMS

A SUMMER OF POSSIBILITIES

Riverview’s Summer Program combines skill-building with classic summer fun, all on our beautiful Cape Cod campus. Students strengthen their independent living and executive functioning skills, all while enjoying camp activities alongside friends. Whether a current Riverview student or joining for additional summer support, all learners benefit from academic support, social growth, and an unforgettable summer experience.

HEAR FOR YOURSELF

In my free time I like to play frisbee. Sometimes I bring my speaker out because everybody loves music. So why not have a little fun with it?

Mornings in Riverview Summer are dedicated to academic instruction, focusing on a thematic and integrated curriculum across subjects. Reading, writing, and the arts are all connected to one central theme to provide a meaningful, multi-sensory learning environment. Students also receive math instruction, participate in electives, and explore new interests.

  • Activities & Outings

Riverview Summer is all about exploration, connection, and creating lasting memories. Students make the most of summer on Cape Cod with a wide variety of age-appropriate activities, including beach outings and kayaking, concerts, fairs, baseball games, and more. These experiences offer the joy and freedom of a classic teen summer, filled with fun, friendship, and stepping outside of comfort zones.

  • Social Skills

Social skills training is a cornerstone of the Riverview Summer Program. Whether it’s in the dorms, classrooms, or elective activities, every activity is thoughtfully designed to promote personal growth and real-world application. Community outings give students the chance to practice classroom-learned skills in everyday settings.

  • Independent Living

Students develop essential life skills such as time management, daily chores in personal and shared living spaces, and budgeting money for community purchases. They also build executive functioning abilities and practice self-advocacy, fostering independence and self-confidence.

GROW

Riverview’s GROW Summer Program, for students ages 17-21, emphasizes vocational training, independent living, social skills, and academic reinforcement.
