Accessibility statement
Riverview School is committed to making our digital services accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We believe that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence. Accessibility is not just a goal for us, but an ongoing commitment. We continually monitor, improve, and adapt our website to ensure it works for everyone.
Our Efforts
- We partner with a third-party accessibility consultant, UserWay, to help ensure conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
- The site includes the UserWay Accessibility Widget, which allows visitors to adjust font size, pause animations, change contrast, and more.
- Automated Remediation Technology (ART) improves accessibility for all visitors, regardless of whether assistive technologies are in use. For example:
- Images and non-text elements include alternative text when required.
- Keyboard navigation is supported with tools like focus indicators and skip links.
