David Summers brings a wealth of experience in program development and leadership for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As the Managing Director of Friends Forever, David oversees the creation and operation of a groundbreaking program designed to foster community, independence, and meaningful engagement for Riverview alumni.

Prior to joining Riverview, David served as Regional Director of Adult Day Services at AHRC NYC, where he managed multiple programs, staff teams, and innovative initiatives across New York City. He has a deep commitment to person-centered planning and creating opportunities for adults to thrive in inclusive, supportive environments.

David holds a passion for building collaborative relationships with families, organizations, and community partners, ensuring that programming aligns with the needs and aspirations of participants. Now living in Sandwich, MA, he is excited to grow the Friends Forever initiative and make a lasting impact on the lives of Riverview alumni.

In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the local community, and engaging with music and the arts.
