Dr. William (Billy) Roberts is a Consulting Psychologist whose active career includes a private clinical practice as well as an organizational consulting practice.
Billy holds a master’s degree in Administration/ Organizational Development and a Doctoral Degree in Counseling/ Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst. His clinical and consulting practice served peoples of diverse backgrounds and his organizational consulting work focused on human resource development and change management. As of July 1, 2021, Billy was elected as the first African American District Governor of Rotary District 7950, which covers 60+ clubs in Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands.
Elected as a member of the United States National Governing Body of the Baha’i Faith in 1998, he served as its Treasurer for some thirteen years, leading several successful multi-million-dollar capital campaigns prior to moving to Cape Cod. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the Cape Organization for the Rights of the Disabled and the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation.
Billy and his wife Bette have been married for 50 years and live in Osterville, MA on Cape Cod. They have two children who are both married – Janra Roberts and wife Stacey; Kia Roberts Wheeler and husband Jamar who have their first grandchild. Both Bette and Billy are active leaders in their faith community and are enthusiastic supporters providing service to non-profit organizations. A veteran traveler, Billy has visited and provided firsthand as well as consulting services to social and economic development initiatives in more than seventy-five countries. Now semi-retired, Dr. Roberts devotes much of his time to organizations and projects that empower under-served populations.
