Emily Schorer is the senior vice president, chief of staff & chief people officer at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX), a global independent non-profit biomedical research institution. In this role, she is a member of the executive team and serves as a strategic partner to the president and CEO, providing leadership support on key initiatives, policy development, strategic planning, and operations while overseeing communications and marketing, human resources, environmental health services, inclusion and belonging, and the ombuds office.

Prior to joining JAX, she held roles as senior vice president of human resources for Cape Cod Healthcare and chief administrative officer for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, both in Massachusetts. She is a member of the corporation at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

Emily and her husband, Tim, live on Mount Desert Island in Maine.
