Riverview’s Village of Dreams Gala Recap

What a night under the stars! On Friday, June 12th, our community came together for the Village of Dreams Gala and raised over $1.6 million, marking a new record for Riverview School. We are overflowing with gratitude. This year’s theme wove together the wonder of a starry night with the promise of spring, and as always, the evening sparkled from start to finish. The night kicked off with a cocktail hour that set the tone for the evening. Hyannis Sound welcomed guests with their acapella harmonies, oracle card readers offered messages of joy and inspiration, and guests enjoyed a raw bar and delicious hors d’oeuvres while reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.
The program began with a stellar performance from Galaxy 10, our student and alumni band, who took the stage with celestial-themed songs under the direction of Greg Simpson, Director of Visual and Performing Arts. Their energy and talent infused the crowd with a sense of celebration and anticipation for the night ahead. Our Silent and Live Auctions once again did not disappoint. Lucky bidders walked away with incredible once-in-a-lifetime trips, experiences, stunning jewelry, dream getaways, local goods, dining packages, art, memorabilia, and sports tickets and experiences, something for everyone in the room.
This year’s Dream Maker Award was presented to Project SEARCH and our local participating sites: Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, and Spaulding Rehabilitation. Riverview class of 2023 alumni Andrew Kheir and Daniel Almy delivered an inspiring presentation, honoring the incredible partnerships that help our students build real-world skills and futures. Our Fund-a-Dream paddle raise centered on Financial Aid, helping ensure that more students who can thrive at Riverview have the opportunity to do so. Thanks to the generosity of our community, families who might not otherwise have access to a Riverview education can now find their place here. Surrounded by a community that understands them, teachers who believe in them, and a learning environment built around how they learn best. Every dollar raised through Fund-a-Dream goes directly toward making that opportunity a reality for another student and another family. None of this would be possible without our extraordinary community, our families, alumni, faculty, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and friends who show up year after year to support our students and celebrate all that makes Riverview so special. Thank you to everyone who made this record-breaking night possible, and for everything you do to help our students thrive.
